All Microsoft Office XP users need to update
Microsoft Office with Service
Pack 3. This
update, released March 10, 2004, is especially
critical for those using Microsoft Outlook.
Note that your computer WILL NOT GET
THIS UPDATE AUTOMATICALLY. However, getting the
update is easy.
- If you installed Office via a CD, you may
need that Office installation CD to complete
the update. Make sure it is handy.
A CD should
not be needed for faculty office systems, provided
you are on-campus or on the campus network
via our dial-in
system or VPN.
- Using Internet Explorer, go to http://office.microsoft.com/officeupdate
- Click the link to Check for Updates
- Install any updates found
It is important that you apply this update
promptly to avoid several new security threats.
