Clean Your Server InboxManage Email on Multiple Systems
|
Clean Your Server InboxIf an automated message from our mail system directed you to this web page, your server inbox is already too large. Though at no time will we prevent email from being delivered to you, we recommend that take the actions described below to prevent future problems that could impact your ability to collect your email. As explained in Journey of an Email Message, your server inbox holds the email messages you access via SquirrelMail, Eudora, or similar programs. If you have too many messages in your server inbox, it becomes difficult to access your mail. Ideally, your server inbox has only new mail and, if you check email on multiple systems, a few days worth of messages you have already accessed. There are two ways to reach this ideal state.
If you follow the instructions above, you will keep your server inbox a manageable size. Want to know more about your server inbox size? You can check your server inbox by using the mail system information tool. If you need help cleaning your server inbox, please contact the Help Desk (610-896-1480, helpdesk@haverford.edu). |
