Use the Storage Server in Public Computing Labs

Computers in the public computing labs have a shortcut or alias on the desktop for logging onto the Storage server. When you have completed your work in the lab, make sure you log off your computer.

NOTE: You must log off your computer before leaving the lab. If you do not, others will see your files and be able to change the contents of your private storage space. Logging off will secure your Storage files, as well as other files and web pages you are using.
To Log Off

As noted above, it is essential that you log off when you have finished using your computer. However, if the person before you did not log off, you need to log them off so that you can log onto the Storage server with your account.

  • Windows Computers: From the Start Menu, select Log Off.
  • Macintosh Computers: From the Apple menu, select Log Out...
