Space Allotment

Access the Storage Server from Windows Vista

Follow the instructions below to access the Storage server from any Windows Vista computer on the campus network. Once you have logged on for the first time, follow the instructions in Access Your Personal Folder to make a shortcut to the server and to find out how to store files with the desired access privileges.

  1. Go to the Start menu and type \\storage <enter> in the Start Search box.

  2. Log in with your username and password at the prompt. Enter your Haverford email username and password. Then click OK.

    Note: You may need to reset your password, if you have not done so since August 2003. To do so, go to https://accounts.haverford.edu.

  3. A window opens giving you access to the Storage server. You have a private directory in the users folder. The section Access Your Personal Storage Folder explains how to find and use this folder. Faculty and academic staff have additional folders, explained in the section Additional Information for Faculty.
  4. When you have completed using the Storage server, please log off.
