Using Folders
This is the Folder Manager. Here you can create new folders, edit the properties of your existing folders, and save your folders to your local hard drive or removable media. To do this, just select the folder you wish to manage using the radio buttons to the left of the folder names, then click on the button representing the action you wish to take. Note that this tool only allows you to select one folder at a time. If you would like to view the messages in a folder, click the name of the folder and it will open. The Edit Selected button enables you to change the names of the selected folder, and the Delete Selected button will delete the selected folder and all messages within it. If you wish to keep some of these messages, you will want to move them before you delete the folder. The Export button will download all the messages in the selected folder to a text file on your local hard drive. By default, Webmail will save the folder as a text file with a .MBOX extension. If you change this extension to .MBX Eudora will see it as a mailbox. If you save this .MBX file in your mail folder in Eudora, it will open as a mailbox when you use Eudora. If you would like to have a folder appear on the dropdown lists in the Save in dialogues, that folder must be subscribed. To subscribe a folder, click on the Subscriptions button and add the folder to the list. Don't forget to click the Save Changes button when you are done. Most people will want to subscribe all of their folders except their sent mail folders. If you have so many folders that listing them all in a dropdown menu would be confusing and unmanageable, you will probably only want to subscribe the folders you use most often.
