Message Center Daily Quarantine Summary

If you have received junk email or virus-infected email in the last 24 hours, you will receive a Quarantine Summary email from Haverford College.  This summary, sent each morning, lists all the messages identified in the past 24 hours as unwanted email. 

Ideally, your message will look similar to the one in the example below. If the message looks different or is hard to read, see the viewing tips below. However, note that even if the email message does not display well the links in that message work.

Viewing Tips

If the summary email doesn't appear as an easily visible table, your mail client may not support formatted text. To best view quarantined messages, login to your message center using http://messagecenter.haverford.edu. Below are some tips for viewing the message with your email client.

Eudora for Macintosh users

This Quarantine Summary email will not display correctly inside the Eudora for the Macintosh version 6.2 message pane. With the quarantine message selected, go to the File at the top and choose Open in Browser

Eudora for Windows users

While reading your quarantine summary message, right click and select "Send to Browser". To avoid the need to do this each time you read a quarantine summary message, make the following configuration change to Eudora:

  1. From the Tools menu, select Options...
  2. On the right side menu, select Viewing Mail. Then check the box to Use Microsoft's viewer.

  3. Click OK to close the Tools window.
  4. If your quarantine message is open, close it. The next time you open the quarantine message, it should display correctly.
SquirrelMail

If your quarantine message does not display as a table in SquirrelMail, change your display preferences.

  1. Select Options and then Display Preferences.
  2. Look for the option to Show HTML Version by Default and select Yes.
