Remote Access to Haverford
via Modem (56 kbps connections)
Faculty, staff and students
living off campus can access Haverford's network and the Internet using
dial-up network services from home. Haverford becomes your Internet
Service Provider (ISP). While connected, you can use the same network
services available while on campus.
Any Haverford faculty or staff
member, as well as student living off-campus, can get a dial-in account
by filling out the dial-in account application.
Once your account is created, you can follow the dial-in
instructions for your system to connect to our network.
Haverford dial-in connections
have a time limit of 4 hours (subject to change) per dial-in session.
Note: Those who require faster broadband service may contract
with a DSL or Cable ISP and still access restricted portions of the
Haverford network via VPN (Virtual Private Networking). See Broadband
and Wireless Access to Haverford's Network via VPN for details.
