Follow the steps below
to install ACC's required anti-virus
software.
Note: Due to our license
agreement, you must be on-campus
or have a Haverford email address
to install this software.
- Remove any previously installed antivirus software. To
do so:
- From the Start menu,
select Control Panel.
- Under the Programs section,
select Uninstall a program.
- Follow the instructions on
the screen to remove any previously
installed anti-virus software.
- Download the McAfee
VirusScan 8.5 installer.
- Select the Save option from the
File Download dialog box; save the Application
to your Desktop using the default name.
The VirusScan installer icon will now appear
on your Desktop with the name VS85iinstall.
- From your Desktop, double-click on the
icon named VS85iinstall to
begin the installation.
- If asked, tell Vista to Allow the
installation.
- Accept all defaults, and agree to the
license agreement.
- Reboot.
