Get Email via Web Forms with FormMail

FormMail is a tool Haverford has installed on our Web site allowing you to generate standard email using Web forms. These forms can be used to solicit feedback on your Web pages, review job applications, schedule people or events, or collect any other type of standardized data. Anyone with a forms capable browser, such as Netscape 2.0 or higher, can fill out a form on the Web.

You can create a Web form with any HTML editor. Dreamweaver, Haverford's supported HTML editor, provides some great tools for editing forms. See our tutorial for instructions on creating a Web form using FormMail. You can print out the tutorial as one long page, or use the table of contents below to refer to specific sections.

Note: These instructions will help you get started creating form. Matt Wright, the author of the FormMail CGI, has extensive documentation on the features described below as well as more advanced features.
