We at the Journal aim to increase the intellectual vitality of Haverford by showcasing some of our students' finest academic work (in the Humanities and Social Sciences). Every year we will be releasing a publication of 4-8 papers, plus an introductory paper by a guest academic (who will also give a talk during Journal Launch Week). The Journal is a new and ambitious project that will do much for Haverford both within the community and outside. The Alumni Magazine features an in-depth article on the development of the project, and the topic was discussed at Spring '04's Board of Managers meeting.
