The Mainliners
The Mainliners are the only co-ed, Haverford-only, a cappella group.
The History
The Mainliners were started when two Haverford students noticed the lack of co-ed a cappella groups at Haverford. Neither of them wanted to commute to Bryn Mawr for rehearsals, so they made it Haverford-only too. The group debuted in December 2007, opening for the S-Chords' show "S-ame Street" with a melodica and a dream.
The Name
The Mainliners' name refers to the group's home on the Philadelphia Main Line, but also puns with the act of Mainlining, see definition.
The Experience
The Mainliners do not adhere to any particular genre of music, but instead sing varied mainstream music based on the preferences of their members.
